Mimma Hotels brings together 76 rooms and suites, a lakeside brasserie, a spa and 600sqm of meeting space on the Entebbe peninsula. Every room is built for both the business traveller and the family in safari transit: blackout curtains, fibre wifi, a workspace by the window, and a 24-hour kitchen for guests arriving on night flights.

Flexible
Cancellations are made through the booking confirmation email or by calling reservations directly; either is accepted and both are confirmed in writing within the hour. Refunds return to the original payment method and clear in three to five working days. Rates booked under a non-refundable promotion are marked as such at the point of booking and are excluded from this policy, which is stated again on the payment screen before you commit. Where a flight is cancelled by the airline and you can show it, we waive the late-cancellation charge - that situation is common enough here that we would rather write it down than decide case by case.

Early check-in: 50% of the nightly rate before 11:00, free after 11:00 subject to availability
Late check-out: Free until 13:00, 50% of the nightly rate until 18:00, a full night thereafter

Self check-in: Not offered. Every arrival is met at the desk, which is also how the airport shuttle is reconciled.
A passport or national ID for every adult guest, and the card used to book if payment was taken in advance.
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is 11:00. Because most international flights land overnight, the front desk is staffed 24 hours and early arrivals are held in the lounge with breakfast available from 06:00. A room before 08:00 needs the previous night booked; there is no way around that and we would rather say so than take the booking and disappoint you.

Minimum 1 night
Maximum 30 nights
One night minimum, thirty nights maximum. Bookings open twelve months ahead and close two hours before check-in, so a same-day booking from the airport is possible. Longer stays are arranged directly with reservations rather than online.

Uganda's only international airport, four minutes down Circular Road. Most long-haul arrivals land between midnight and 03:00, which is why our kitchen and front desk run around the clock and the shuttle meets every flight.

Good hotel, overpriced airport transfer
No complaints about the room, which was clean and quiet. The complimentary transfer was not available when we landed and the paid alternative was steep for a four-minute drive. Fix that and it is a five.

Went back three times this year
Consistent every single time. Same warm welcome, same standard of housekeeping. The Presidential Apartment for my parents anniversary was extraordinary - the roof terrace is something else.

Great rooms, road noise at the front
The garden rooms on the Circular Road side pick up some traffic noise early. Ask for a lake-facing room and it is silent. Beds are superb and the shower pressure is the best I have had in Uganda.

Felt looked after from the moment we arrived
Mima met us personally at check-in, which you do not get at the chains. The Lake Suite terrace is enormous. We had a late checkout with no fuss at all.

Best business hotel in Entebbe
Reliable fibre, a proper desk, and meeting rooms that actually have working AV. I ran a two-day workshop here for fourteen people and the events team handled everything. Will book again.
