Uganda

Uganda, officially the Republic of Uganda, is a landlocked nation situated in the heart of East Africa, one of the countries crossed by the great latitude, the Equator.

It's geography is a mosaic of lush rainforests, expansive savannahs, beautiful lakes, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, often referred to as the "Mountains of the Moon."

Dubbed the "Pearl of Africa" by Winston Churchill for its unparalleled natural beauty, Uganda boasts an extraordinary range of biodiversity, including the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and a variety of bird species in its wetlands.

Kampala, the vibrant capital, serves as the political and economic hub, blending traditional markets with modern infrastructure. The country’s economy is predominantly agrarian, with coffee, tea, and bananas as key exports, though it is also investing in oil exploration and tourism.

Uganda’s cultural landscape is equally diverse, with over 50 ethnic groups speaking languages like Luganda, Swahili, and English, each contributing unique music, dance, and culinary traditions.
